At Uurnik, we will offer virtual private cloud services coupled with our Uurnik Connect managed SD-WAN service. We believe that connectivity to cloud environments, public or private is properly secured and isolated using an SD-WAN solution.

It’s important to understand that why Uurnik is recommending to couple SD-WAN with private cloud. A lot has been discussed on securing the cloud solutions but that is mostly limited to segmenting the applications inside the data center, while we are doing it all the way from the branch to the applications wherever they are and based on which users are allowed to talk to those applications.

At Uurnik, we advise customers to isolate their different kinds of traffic between the cloud and their end-users. The offering comprises of software-defined security that avoids the lateral spread of malicious traffic and other security vulnerabilities. In addition, the offering provides visibility into the applications. The security virtual network functions (VNFs) are built into the SD-WAN to allow for the automated action and micro-segmentation capabilities.

For that we believe that SD-WAN is critical when customers migrate their DC setups to cloud environments.
